Behavior Clip Chart
The behavior “Clip Chart” is a simple discipline strategy for promoting positive behavior. Students begin each day with their clothespin clipped to the left and right edges of the “Ready to Learn”, GREEN level on the chart. During the course of the day, the clothespin move up and down the chart based upon the behaviors and choices each student makes. Good behavior causes the clothespin to move up one level. Conversely, inappropriate behavior will cause the clothespin to move down one level. If a student's behavior improves, they are able to move back up the chart.
Parents will be notified for positive and negative outcomes each day in the agenda. In addition, the agenda will be used for notes from school/home.
